Join us for an unforgettable adventure into the world of sharks with our very own Science & Research Manager, Jackson Wheat! Jackson will uncover the mysteries and marvels of these fascinating and often misunderstood creatures.

Shark Art and Poetry Gallery

Kids, bring in shark-themed artwork or a poem to add to our Gallery for a chance to win chance to win the grand prize Shark basket with plush toys, tote bags, water bottle, mugs, pencils, coin purse and more!

 

Fin Fact Frenzy Shark Olympics Quiz trail
Every day July 7 - 14

Learn about our incredible shark athletes and their unique skills and natural talents. Can you keep up with our champions? Dive into the challenge and you can earn a gold medal in shark knowledge!

 

Meet Sherlock!
11 – 4 pm, July 7 - 14
Sherlock the Shark will be swimming through the aquarium every hour on the hour for pictures and finny high fives!

 

Shark Craft!
11 - Noon, July 7 - 14
Visit our activity station in Contact Cove to create a cool shark-themed take home craft

 

Shark Science!
1 - 2 pm, July 7 - 14
Stop by our activity station in Contact Cove to learn how sharks use electroreception to capture prey and check out some neat artifacts like shark jaws and mermaid purses!

LifeShare will set up in front of the aquarium and all donors will receive a free gift.

Shark Week Trivia & Tacos Night

Tuesday, July 9, Two seatings at 5:30 & 7 PM
Join us in our beautiful event pavilion for tacos and trivia games at 5:30 and 7 p.m. Test your shark knowledge and win cool prizes! Delicious taco bar with grilled chicken and beef tacos, chips and salsa included. $15 at the door. Free for members (must have ID card). Shark themed-cocktails and mocktails available for purchase. First come, first served.

Thursday, July 11, 11:30 a.m.
ZENON TURNS SEVEN!!! Come sing happy birthday to Shreveport’s favorite zebra shark! Watch her enjoy her clam-flavored birthday cake! Cupcakes will be available as well for human party guests. Swing by during the week before the party and sign her birthday card!
